Georg Schmitt is Associate Director for Public Engagement at the World Economic Forum in Geneva, Switzerland. He is looking after media relations, strategic communications and public affairs, particularly with the Forum’s Strategic Partners (Fortune 500 companies) and its New Champions communities. He is also working on all things media surrounding Forum events like the Annual Meeting in Davos, the “Summer Davos” in China or regional meetings in Europe, East Asia and the Middle East & North Africa.
Before moving to Geneva, Georg worked as a consultant for corporate and public affairs, crisis communications and government markets for Ketchum in Berlin and Brussels.
He studied North American Studies and Communications at the John F. Kennedy Institute in Berlin as well as the University of Amsterdam.
